Hi, my name is Rochelle Morgan, and I’m raising funds to continue my college education in the United States.

I am a recent honors graduate from Valencia College in Florida and an international student from Jamaica. I came to the U.S. with a strong passion for helping others and a dream of becoming a nurse.

During my time at Valencia, I worked hard and earned a scholarship to study nursing at Georgia State University. Sadly, I suffered a serious Achilles tendon injury while still in school, and because of that, I had to give up the scholarship and could not move forward with the nursing program. It was one of the hardest moments of my life.

I decided not to give up on my goals. Instead, I leaned on my backup plan and was accepted into New Jersey City University to study Cybersecurity. I’m proud of my resilience, but financially, it has been a difficult road. The scholarship for Cybersecurity is not as generous as the one I had for nursing, and my injury made it harder for me to work and save.

As an international student, I do not qualify for federal student aid or most U.S. loans. I will be transferring to NJCU and just need help covering the next two years of tuition and expenses so I can finish my degree and move forward with a stable future.

This experience has tested me in many ways, but I’ve stayed committed and hopeful. Any amount of support you can give would help me take the final steps toward my goals. Even sharing my story with others would mean so much.
