Robyn's #LOVEYOUMEANIT Team

Robyn has this glow about her that draws you in. You really only have to meet her once to feel it. She has a smile that projects positivity into the world and a laugh that effortlessly energizes a room full of people. She’s the kind of mom that raised sweet teenage boys [Mason-18 & Jay-16] that love being around her while also mom-ing the most precious little ones [George-6 & Byrdie-4] and pup [Willow]. Amongst those successes, she also manages their family AirBnb while maintaining her humor and charm. Gabe & Robyn have been married since 2015 and with hard work and fun love they created their version of perfect in Marion, Iowa.

In the beginning of March, Robyn was diagnosed with invasive lobular carcinoma (stage 2b) as well as ducats carcinoma in situ. Robyn started chemotherapy on Monday, March 20. She is receiving outpatient oncology care at Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa by Dr. Stroh. For 12 total weeks, Robyn will receive this outpatient chemotherapy regimen before enduring a double mastectomy in early June by Dr. Reid. After recovering from surgery, Robyn will start radiation therapy followed by 9 additional months of chemotherapy into March of 2024. Robyn knows she has a long road but is feeling supported with her care team and plan ahead as well as her faith and amazing community of people that love her.

When people that we love are hurting, we wish we could take away some of their worry. Unfortunately, we can’t take away the struggles that lie ahead for Robyn, Gabe and family but we can help simplify daily life. Sometimes the role of delegating tasks and asking for help from supporters is a task in and of itself.
