Hello, and thank you all for visiting this site, and our page.

My name is Dave (Monteith) , father, grandfather, familyman. I am writing this page for my daughter-in-law, and her family, to help assure the transition and future is as smooth I guess, as possible as her diagnosis is terminal.

I truly wish i wasn't writing this at all, but unfortunately here we are.

Live Love Laugh, perfect, but we are all so busy making the "living" it's hard to always follow, but hey, there is always tomorrow.

For most of us anyway, that's true, but what happens when you find out you have been diagnosed with stage 4 terminal lung cancer, and your tomorrows may be running out.

That is what my 38 year old Daughter in law Robyn is facing. Mother, wife, daughter, hard working , just getting started really, now suddenly, not even thinking of herself, but worrying about her family, the house, the bills, the college fund, the things we should have done and how can we now..

Faced with endless meds, appointments, nurses, oxygen, my son Darren has been unable to continue working, he now has to be there to make sure this is all taken care of, as he should, as well as making sure their 10 year old beautiful Daughter Elizabeth, unaware of the gravity of the situation, stays happy, thriving, keeping her everyday routine, and just the normality of childhood, homework, dinner, Christmas, snowman, fun, love.

We are scared, stressing about the everyday commitments we all have, and not the important things, when at a time like this, is just that, Important !

I live now on the property to be here, and help all I can, to be available for Elizabeth when they are unable, that's alot unfortunately.

My hopes are if we can all just relieve a little of the everyday stresses, so they are able to focus on the time they have left together, to remember what is important, and the memories that will be left behind, for Elizabeth , and something put away to assure her future as well, not letting the time pass, and it goes fast, but slow it down a little, buy some time without the daily stresses, just the important ones now.

Any excess funds after expenses will be put in a college trust fund for Elizabeth.
