On August 2nd our sweet Robyn Lynn was taken by ambulance and admitted to UMPC in Cumberland. We were shocked to learn she was Covid positive as she had been fully vaccinated. Within 2 days she would be on a ventilator in ICU and as of today, 38 days later, she is still there. Robyn is currently waiting for transfer to a critical illness recovery hospital for a ventilator weaning program, as well as physical, speech, and occupational therapies. Eventually she will require outpatient pulmonary rehabilitation and therapy.
Robyn is a treasure to our family and community. She has served local youth as a children’s ministry director. For the past 19 years, Robyn has been employed by Western Maryland Food Bank. She works with local agencies and the public to provide food recovery and distribution to those in need. The Food Bank is essential to keeping our community fed and Robyn continued to work throughout the COVID pandemic. Robyn also founded the Bagman Backpack Program designed to meet nutritional needs of hungry children in times when they are not in school for provided meals. Backpacks are discreetly distributed on the weekend or school holidays and filled with child friendly foods. Currently this program is available to all schools throughout Allegany County.
Robyn will be facing a great financial burden as a result of her illness.
Robyn has given to others, many of you, her entire life and now is the time for us to give her support, love, and prayers for healing. Robyn is a woman of strong faith and we thank and praise the Lord as we witness her miracle.
We thank you in advance for your support. All funds received will be directly transferred to her bank in Robyn’s name for current and future medical expenses.
