As we prepare for the busyness of this Holiday Season, our good friend and coworker Roby Strine is preparing for an entirely different season…..a season of trial and difficulty as he undergoes treatment for a very recently diagnosed cancer.

Roby has been diagnosed with Nasopharyngeal cancer of the throat, a rare sinus cancer. His treatments are going to begin with the start of the new year. Doctors are hopeful in the treatment with the advances in science, but it is going to be a marathon for Roby and his significant other, Michelle as she supports him through the treatments.

My name is Bill Stover. I work with Roby, and this has touched many of us a we seek to do what we can to support our dear friend in this battle. We have high deductible insurance at our place of employment. Roby will have to meet his deductible for the remainder of this year and the beginning of the next, which will be over $8000 out of the gate. He will only receive partial pay through his 6 month treatment period from disability insurance. The financial burden will be large as income shrinks and bills accumulate quickly, and is just another aspect of the large challenge ahead.

This account has been created as an opportunity for his family, friends, and co-workers to help reduce this burden; to shine some light into the darkness and let them know we care.
