Roby Peabody - To help battle stage 4 lung cancer

Our legendary friend Roby Peabody has been a staple in the Telluride community for over 25 years. He was recently diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. This comes as quite a shock to Roby and all of us. What started as a chest cold soon revealed a devastating secret lurking below. It has spread to his spine and now excruciating back pain is hindering his super active and physical lifestyle and profession. This GoFundMe has been created to help support Roby’s quality of life by removing some of the financial burden of battling cancer.

For those of you who don’t know much about him, Roby owns and operates Telluride Forestry Solutions, a 12 year old tree removal business that also mitigates wild fire prevention, aids forest health, pest prevention and management.

Roby is an avid snowboarder and respected bourbon aficionado. He is highly revered for his epic annual events such as the Telluride Nothing Festival, the Bourbon Wing Off and the famed Lunar Cup backcountry ski race. Roby is an absolute legend and he brings so much joy and laughter to this community.

Roby is receiving this daunting diagnosis just as he has recently healed and rehabilitated two consecutive knee replacements. He has only recently been cleared to get back on the mountain he so dearly loves. Now, his condition has him once more in crippling pain, and he’s unable to enjoy his favorite sport again.

The physical challenges of his business as an forester are also in jeopardy as this is an emotionally difficult and financially distressing time.

Roby possesses a fiery passion to live life to the fullest. He’s a generous, trust worthy, loyal and loving friend.
