As many of you may know, on January 23rd Rob was rushed to the hospital after suddenly losing the ability to walk, stand, or manage everyday tasks on his own. Later that same day, our family received heartbreaking news — Rob has cancer.

After spending three weeks in the hospital undergoing radiation treatments, blood work, and numerous scans, Rob was diagnosed with plasmablastic multiple myeloma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer.

He is now undergoing ongoing treatment that costs over $3,000 per month, and that doesn’t include the additional medications he needs or the physiotherapy and occupational therapy required to help him regain strength and independence. On top of that, there are constant travel expenses for appointments and treatments between Collingwood and Barrie.

Many of you may know Rob Brown as the longtime owner of Clear Choice Pools and Spa in Collingwood. Others may know him as a friend, family member, coworker, or even from his racing days. However you know Rob, you likely know the kind of person he is — someone who is always willing to help others and would give the shirt off his back to anyone who needed it.

Right now, Rob and his family are facing an incredibly difficult road, and he could use the same support he has always given to others.
