Robs road to recovery and everything in between

My brother, Robert Himmel, is fighting for his life. He’s a good man, a son, father, brother, partner, and friend to many. He goes above and beyond for the people he cares about. He doesn’t deserve what has happened to him. He’s only 39 years old and has so much life left to live, he has so many goals and plans to still accomplish. This came out of no where and our family is devastated. My brother is the man of our family, the protector. Our moms first baby, the only constant man in either of our lives. He has a new baby boy, Gino, that needs his daddy. Kate needs her partner, their family needs him. We all need him to get better and come home.

No family should have to stress about money at a time like this. Between the medical bills and all other bills that are going to continue to roll in, I want to help our family raise as much as possible to ease the financial burden. So we can fully focus on Rob and his healing.

Last Friday morning, around 130am, Rob collapsed and has been down since. His blood pressure was almost in the 300s and because of that it caused his brain to bleed and swell. He was rushed to Sinai hospital and had emergency brain surgery. There have been a lot of complications and this is very critical. We do not know what, if anything and lord please let it be nothing, has been damaged in his brain. We have been told by the doctors that he may not come off the ventilator, but we were also told that he may! So we just don’t really know right now! We are keeping hope and we are staying optimistic. We are putting positive energy out in the universe, in hopes that our prayers are answered. My brother is a fighter!!! He will make it out of this!!! He has too!
