Robs Reds - Hedges Holte Enders vs Robs Reds Charity Match

This is the page to donate and support the Robs Reds football team in our charity football match on Saturday 28th June 2025.

Sadly my Dad (Robert Davis) suffered a sudden, fatal heart attack in November 2022, which took him from us far too soon. Rob was an excellent friend, father and husband, and was loved by so many. Amongst many things, Rob had a passion for football (a die-hard Bristol City fan) and always managed our football teams when we (the kids) were growing up. To keep his memory alive we have decided to arrange an annual charity football event, that we play in his name.

Late last year, we were saddened to hear the news that one of Dad’s good friends and ex-work colleague Mike Hedges had tragically passed away.

Mike also an admirer of the beautiful game and die-hard Villa fan, that struck the idea that we make 2 teams in their names and raise a load of money for their preferred charities.

Therefore, on Saturday 28th June we will hold the first: Hedges Holte Enders vs Robs Reds. Hosted by Thornbury Town FC at The Mundy Playing Fields, Thornbury, BS35 1NA. Please come down and join us if you are available to, kick-off is at 12pm, upon entry you are requested to make a cash donation. There will be a: BBQ, an Auction (with amazing prizes - including signed football shirts), another charity football game (earlier in the day) and last but not least a fully stocked bar (with enough Thatchers Gold to drown a shark).

We are raising money in aid of British Heart Foundation and every donation will help. They're the nation's heart charity. They help save lives with information, patient care and pioneering research. With your support, we will beat heart disease for good.
