Rob is the kind of man who builds his life around his family. He is a deeply devoted husband and father to three beautiful girls, and together they are a close little team. Anyone who knows Rob knows how much he loves his wife and daughters and how present he is in their lives.
In February 2026, after months of searching for answers to a lingering cough, Rob received life-changing news: he was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer at just 37 years old. Rob has always been active, taken care of his health, and has never smoked in his life… which has made this all the more unexpected and difficult to process.
By the time it was found, they were told this type of diagnosis was once considered a death sentence… something that, not long ago, often meant very little time. (Leading cause of cancer deaths worldwide). That reality has been incredibly heavy for their family to process, especially at this stage of life.
Further testing revealed a rare RET gene mutation that may respond to a targeted treatment. These newer therapies offer hope for slowing the disease and giving Rob more time with the people who matter most to him. We are deeply grateful that options like this exist today.
And at the center of all of this… is his family. Everything Rob is doing right now is for more time with them. In the middle of all of this, one of his sweet girls asked him, “Dad… are you going to do everything you can to fight this?”
The answer is yes.
Alongside conventional treatment, Rob is also exploring integrative therapies that may help support his body through this fight and help these treatments work as effectively as possible. Many of these options, however, are not covered by insurance and those costs are unknown at this time, they will find out next week after meeting with another oncologist in Chicago.
Their family is facing this difficult road with strength and hope. This fundraiser is meant to help relieve the financial burden of treatment so they can focus on Rob’s health, their family, and the time they share together.
Your donation, prayers, and sharing this fundraiser are deeply appreciated. Thank you for standing with Rob and his family during this challenging time. We will share updates here along the way so those who wish can follow Rob’s journey.
