Rob's (my dad) Cancer Recovery

Hello all,

My name is Danielle, the proud daughter of Rob Parker. There are so many things I could say about him, but ill just share a few quick facts:

My dad is an extremely kind and thoughtful man. He doesn't want or ask for much and works extremely hard.

He is a master salesman. My mom always says " Girl, your father could sell ice to an eskimo!" and continues to be in high ranks at his company over the last year.

He loves a good selfie and uses MULTIPLE hashtags in text messages.

And earlier this year, my dad let our family know he was diagnosed with prostate cancer. The prognosis was good, and although our family was really worried - we trusted that things would be ok as he considered options for treatment. This isn't something we have shared much outside of close family and friends, but I'm sure many know the fear and anxiety that comes with a family member being sick.

After a few months, my dad decided to have his prostate removed entirely. His surgery was a few days ago and according to the docs, everything went great! He has been home resting since Thursday, and I am SO insanely grateful to be able to be here during the first few days to assist him in getting around and help cover some of the initial costs in his recovery journey.

We know that no one is immune to hard times, and if you work in sales you know how precious each day is. Although insurance was helpful there is still a significant balance to be paid, not including the time he has to take off work this month. I am hoping that this fundraiser can be used to support his medical bills, recovery costs, and household needs until he returns to work.
