Hi, my name is Sandra and I am fundraising for my brother, Robert, to help pay for his medical bills and housing costs during his after-care medical treatments. As Rob's family, we are very appreciative of any contribution towards his recovery. We are grateful to have such a loving and helping community surrounding us.

Rob was born in San Diego, raised in Minnesota, and returned to San Diego for his young adult life. He is passionate about music, history, movies, and sports. He has always had a good ear for good music and how it can bring people together.

Rob has battled medical complications since January 2023 and has remained in and out of the hospital due to complications. In April, his medical issues became life-threatening. He was rushed back to the hospital where he was put on full life support in ICU. Rob's family did not leave his side. Family members flew into town to pray over him and be with him, in what we were told were his last moments. All local areas were not able to provide Rob with the specialized medical care he needed in order to live. His family did not accept this fate. His brother called many medical centers throughout the country to try to get Rob into their care. After numerous calls, the UCLA Medical Center was the only place to accept him in the condition he was in because, as they said, "UCLA is in the business of saving lives." Rob was airlifted to UCLA Medical Center to receive a phenomenal level of care from a world-renowned team of doctors. Each day, step by step, he made miracle-like improvements. With each day being a roller coaster of challenges and triumphs, Rob was slowly taken off of his life support and became strong enough to make a recovery. While the days have not been easy, he continues to fight. He is motivated to have his second chance at life.

Rob is instructed by his doctors to stay near UCLA for 2 months to receive after-care treatments. Any donation will be going towards the housing expenses during after-care. Again, we are so appreciative of any contribution to his recovery. We are so grateful to have such a loving and helping community surrounding us.
