This gofundme is to help alleviate some of the financial stress for Rob and Jen through Rob's miraculous fight and recovery with COVID Pneumonia.

What a journey it is.

On November 24, 2021, Rob was diagnosed with silent hypoxia due to COVID Pneumonia. He has been hospitalized since. Yes, that was the day before Thanksgiving. Initially, Rob seemed to be improving and the plan was to move him to a long-term care rehab. Unfortunately, he progressively worsened and ended up in respiratory distress and on life support. His journey since has been a roller-coaster.

Between ECMO, multiple chest tubes, the ventilator and a trach, he is one of the very few who have been in this state for as long as he has, and survived. He is a fighter and a true miracle.

Rob is progressively improving and is pushing himself daily with physical therapy and many other tests to prepare for the next big step! Lung-transplant!

Rob is currently in a hospital in Orlando, FL, awaiting a lung transplant. This is about an hour and a half away from their home in Tampa. Jen, Rob's wife, has been by his side at every available moment. She has temporarily made her second home in Orlando to be near him.

As you can imagine, the medical bills, accommodation expenses and foreseen prescription medication expenses are astronomical. If you can lend your support, your contribution is appreciated more than you can imagine.
