From the bottom of our hearts, Rob, Gina, and I want to thank each and every one of you for your incredible generosity and unwavering support during this challenging journey. Your donations, shares, prayers, and words of encouragement have been a lifeline for them, and they are profoundly grateful for the community that has rallied around Rob.
We're thrilled to share some positive updates: Rob has been able to go home, and his speech is steadily improving every day. The doctors are optimistic, predicting that within the next five months, he has about a 90% chance of making a full recovery. He's already recovered from the pneumonia and even managed some very successful sessions of physical therapy, where his determination and positive attitude shone through brightly. Rob's spirit is unbreakable—he's fighting with everything he's got, and it's inspiring us all.
That said, the road ahead still holds many hurdles. They're facing ongoing expenses for weekly visits with nurses, neurologists, and physiotherapists to keep his progress on track. Recently, the team started him on a new chemo regimen with a cutting-edge drug that's very expensive but shows great promise in pushing him toward remission much sooner. It's been a scary time with his white blood cell count so low, making him vulnerable, but he finished the chemo cycle and were just gearing up to focus on rehabilitating him from the stroke.
Unfortunately, yesterday brought an unexpected setback—Rob developed a fever and was rushed back to the hospital, where they discovered a bacterial infection. With his white blood cells still depleted, this is a serious concern, and the medical team is administering strong antibiotics around the clock. He'll need to stay in the hospital until he's showing clear signs of improvement, which means more unforeseen costs piling up.
All of this—the chemo treatments, specialized care, ambulance trips, extended hospital stays, doctor consultations, and procedures—has been overwhelming financially. Rob and Gina are so deeply thankful for everything you've given so far; your help has made a real difference in getting them this far. But they're still in desperate need of continued assistance to cover these mounting expenses and ensure Rob gets the best possible chance at recovery.
Your kindness has carried them through the darkest moments, and they hold onto hope because of you. Please consider sharing this page or contributing if you're able—we truly couldn't do this without you.
With endless gratitude,
Natasha (friend)

Hi everyone,
I'm writing this on behalf of my dear friend Rob who is in urgent need of our help. As many of you know, Rob and Gina have been a pillar of our community, always quick with a kind word, a helping hand, or a joke to brighten your day. Now, they're facing a serious medical challenge and need our support more than ever!!
Rob was recently diagnosed with having a stroke and was transported to a local hospital here in Mexico. Quickly all of their worst nightmares started to unfold. Not only did he have a stroke that left him paralyzed on one side and unable to speak but he also has a compromised immune system (his bone marrow is barely producing white blood cells), and a very aggressive pneumonia. As of right now Rob is in a very serious medical state and we are praying for the best outcome for him.
In a blink of an eye they went from enjoying their retired life in beautiful Mexico to wondering if they will even be able to afford to keep Rob alive.
Rob did not have any health care so they are paying out of pocket for all of the outrageous medical bills that are piling up!
As some of you know, in Mexico, if you don't pay they will kick you on the street! That is something that we cannot allow to happen!! We need him to get the best possible treatment to overcome these hurdles life sent his way! (As of right now the medical bills are over 400,000 pesos)
This diagnosis has brought with it immense physical and emotional hardship, but the financial burden is also overwhelming. The costs of the hospital stay, specialists, test, procedures, etc etc are exorbitant, and it's a battle they can't fight alone.
We're hoping to raise as much as we can to help cover these essential costs and allow Rob and Gina to focus on their recovery without the added stress of financial worry. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a direct and meaningful difference.
If you can't donate, please consider sharing this campaign with your network. Your support, in any form, is deeply appreciated.
Thank you for being a part of Rob's journey.
With love and gratitude,
Natasha
