On April 16th,  Robert Simon left this earth to his eternal rest. He left behind his wife Charlene, and his three children. Anyone that met Rob loved his warm welcoming personality. He was the epitome of what a good man is. He was a wonderful father to his three children and a loving husband to Charlene. He genuinely cared for his family and his friends near and far. His loss is felt by all that had the privilege of knowing him. Rob made it a priority to always care for his family. Even with the risk of this disease he went to work to be able to care for his family. It was in caring for his family that he contracted Covid-19. 

Rob’s smile made you feel right at home, even if it was your first time meeting him. I know that is exactly how he made me feel the first time I met the man Charlene told me was “THE ONE”. Once I met him- I knew too, that he was my besties “One”.  Rob loved a good party. He made amazing wings (soaked in milk), and mac and cheese that was EPIC.

He fought this disease to the very end. When I asked him how he was doing he said, “As well as can be expected. Better than I was but, this is a struggle.” I know he fought this terrible disease with all he had in him. 

Less than six months ago, at the wedding of Rob and Charlene.  I was able to witness how loved Rob was, and in turn how much he loved his family. We will all miss him terribly. 

This fundraiser is to help the family with unforeseen expenses and to also help Charlene, in her role as a single parent to take care of their three children.  Rob’s death was sudden and unexpected, and the family is still reeling from his passing.
