Hi,

Our dad was recently diagnosed with Metastatic prostate cancer May 2025.

Unfortunatley dad’s cancer was very aggressive with his PSA rising from 3.7-9956 in only 2 years. Dad underwent Chemotherapy and hormone therapy however despite his numbers coming down his cancer was still spreading through his bones..

during the break between his first lot of chemo and the second lot he was due to start his numbers again had risen rapidly jumping from 34 to a massive 2000 in just 2 months.

following this dad rapidly declined, including a hospital stay and eventually going into a hospice who were honestly so amazing in caring for dad!

Unfortunately dad lost his battle on the morning of 12th April 2026

we as a family can’t thank those nurses enough who cared for dad in his final weeks!

We would like to raise some funds for Birmingham Hospice as they did so much for dad and us as a family and Prostate cancer to help prevent & better research to be able to help other men during their battle with prostate cancer and to give them the best chance.
