Let’s go! The Metal Jackets have double qualified for Districts! The team won the Impact Award in Portsmouth last weekend. The Impact Award is the highest award that a team may win in FRC . This is our fourth time winning it. The team then won the Engineering Inspiration Award at Glen Allen this past weekend. Last won in 2010. No other team has an Impact AND an Engineering Inspiration win this year!! What that means is, at Districts that the MJs will have two interviews plus THREE chances to move into Worlds (Impact, EI and robot)! The team just paid 4K to register for Districts. Should they move forward, 6k to register for Worlds (Houston), plus airfare and hotel and meals! So families, if your company or you know someone or a company that would like to sponsor the team, they would be very appreciative of sharing the kids sponsorship packet! . Worlds is just a couple of weeks after district champs!
