Hello, my name is Mason and I am starting this fundraiser for my dad. My dad's name is Rob and we have a family of 5. My mom's name is Lori and my two sisters are Miranda and Makayla. My dad is a great father and a great friend to everyone he meets.  He sets an example for my sisters and I, of service and work. He always tries to help others in need by giving his time with projects and simply listening to other people. On many occasions my dad has tried to help others anonymously or in private, with their financial needs. I have always seen him give as much as he can without taking reward or credit. Now he has taken ill for the last 5 years and has had to go through 3 large surgeries. The expenses for these surgeries and other medical care is becoming too much. I see that he is physically, emotionally, and spiritually drained, but he still keeps going for my mom, my sisters, and I. With my moms job, as well as my dads second job, the medical bills still keep stacking up, and this is why I am asking for your help. 
In January of 2010, my dad developed a case of shingles on his brain, and this has caused UV itis, glaucoma, and cataracts in his left eye. As a result of this he has had a pump put into the back of his eye and a shunt put into the front of his eye to relieve pressure from fluid buildup on his brain and eye. This past May, my dad went through another surgery for doctors to repair the shunt. He has been on high doses of Prednisone which is causing his liver and kidneys to shut down. I am hoping to raise money so that he can quit his second job and focus more on his health while also keeping up with the future medical bills. 
I know that many other families and individuals are going through hard times and maybe even similar struggles, but I am asking for any help that you can give, whether it be a small donation, a prayer, or sharing my dad's story with others who might also be able to help.
