We cannot wait to represent Team USA at the Olympic Games in Tokyo exactly one year from now, but in order to bring home a medal, we need your help. With the unfortunate COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting twelve-month postponement of the Olympic Games, we are facing serious financial challenges. Our budget nearly doubled, while at the same time most of our fundraisers were postponed indefinitely or canceled altogether. Like so many things in sailing, these variables are out of our control, so we are doing what we are trained to do: adapt, pivot, and move forward.

ONE TEAM, ONE MISSION: GOING FOR GOLD IN TOKYO 202ONE

After a hard-fought battle during the US Olympic Trials last spring, we set new goals and got back to work with our eyes on Tokyo. We recruited some of the best coaches in the world, set an optimistic schedule to take advantage of any racing opportunities, and we are creatively finding ways to be back on the water together - safely.  We are ready for the work that lies ahead of us because standing on the podium in Tokyo is our goal - not merely competing at the Olympics.

Steph and Maggie grew up sailing in the Midwest, and they share a lifelong aspiration to sail in the Olympics. After competing with and against each other for the last fifteen years in different boats, they started competing together full-time in 2016 on the 49erFX - a high-performance, double-handed female Olympic class boat. Together they’ve climbed to fourth place in the world rankings and won the US Trials, which secured their nomination to Olympic Sailing Team for Tokyo 2020.
