Robin’s Unfortunate Event

Heidi DeJong here, and my goal is to help a very dear friend of mine. Robin Baker has been like a little sister to me for many years now. She has an incredibly big heart, and has helped me and many others out in the horse industry. She’s a mentor, coach, cheerleader and friend to so many.

Recently she was involved in a freak accident where she was kicked by a horse, which resulted in a serious fracture to her leg. She is currently awaiting a treatment plan from the orthopedic surgeon. Unfortunately at the time she was searching for affordable healthcare, and in between policies. So all of these medical bills will be out of pocket, along with being unable to work for several months.

For those of you who know Robin, knows she also has her stallion Full Medal Jacket. Because she is unable to take care of him herself, it will also create more of a financial burden as he will need to be maintained at a facility.

I would love for the horse community, as well as the friend community do what we can to offer a little assistance. It’s a bit of a dark moment for Robin, so even a little easement of this financial weight will make a huge difference!
