Robins Talk three peaks challenge
3 peaks:
On Saturday 3rd June 2023, we will be aiming to complete the ‘24 hour 3 Peaks Challenge’ to help raise money for ‘Robins Talk’ which is a mental health football session that we have been attending since January 2022.
Robins Talk is part of the Robins Foundation and these sessions really help to provide a safe space for anyone who may be struggling with their mental health and it is also a great way to help keep the mind and body as fit as possible!
Unfortunately the foundation can only provide a proportion of the funding required to run these free sessions so it also relies heavily on donations to help keep them going!
To compete the ‘24 hour 3 Peaks Challenge’ we will be required to firstly climb Ben Nevis in Scotland at 8am, then drive for 6 hours down to the Lake District to climb Scafell Pike at 7pm and then finally drive for another 4 hours over to Wales to climb Snowdon at 3am with the aim of completing the challenge by 8am!
The total walking distance is 23 miles (37km) and the total ascent is 3064 metres (10,052ft). Neither of us have ever attempted to complete a challenge of this magnitude over a 24 hour period before so any donations that you may be able to provide would be greatly appreciated, as they will not only help to keep us motivated with our intense training preparations but will ultimately help support an amazing cause that is very close to both our hearts!!
Thank you!
