Hi my name is Stacy, I’m asking for help from all of you that know my Mom Robin Ward. We took a family vacation on a cruise with my Mom and she ended up with a septic infection and DKA (diabetic ketoacidosis) the DKA is life threatening. This happened while we were on the ship and she was admitted into the ship medical center where insurance is not accepted. We docked this morning in Cape Canaveral and are now in the ER. The ship wouldn’t let me off without maxing out every credit card I had on myself and my husband as the bill was $24,336. She has been disoriented and unable to say who I am or identify her grand daughters. Please if there is anyway you can help we would appreciate it more than you know. My mother is the most selfless person I know and has given everything she has to care for others and she is in her time of need. My husband is with my two youngest children and I’m at the hospital with my mom- we have flights home tomorrow but she will not be able to make it. I do have family in Florida that are a couple of hours away and will be able to be a point of contact locally.
