Support Robin Ruesga in her time of need

My name is Michelle Dunker Arkin and I am partnering with my cousin, Christiane Ruesga to launch this campaign on behalf of my beautiful and resilient aunt, Robin Ruesga. Robin suffered a sudden and devastating loss a few days ago when Richard Fraccalvieri, her partner in life - both personally and professionally for the last 17 years, took his own life.

After struggling tremendously with unexplained physical and mental impairments that made it impossible for him to work, he was on the verge of losing his business when he received a Parkinson’s diagnosis which sent him into a deep depression. My cousin, Jeffrey, who has been struggling with depression himself moved in with Robin and Richard to offer support. He was home at the time. He discovered the scene.

The trauma and heartbreak is immense and the financial implications are more than Robin can manage on her own. Richard had been the primary provider in their household. He did not leave a will and since California does not acknowledge common-law partnerships, the house and accounts are now tied up in probate and his estate will be managed by his loving sisters. Robin and Jeff need to find a new place to live immediately and she will need to find a new space for her Massage Therapy business since she had been using a space in Richard’s Floatation Spa.

We are launching this campaign to ask if you’ll join us in surrounding Robin with love, praying for peace and donating whatever you’re moved to give in order to help ease the emotional and financial impact of this traumatic experience. We have set an initial goal of $25,000 to cover the cost of the forensic cleaning of the house, her moving expenses, a deposit & first couple months of rent and basic living expenses to allow her time to grieve and begin to recalibrate her life.
