An Attitude of Gratitude. That has been Robin’s mantra since February when she was unexpectedly diagnosed with inoperable stage IV pancreatic cancer with metastases to the liver. With her cancer markers almost off the charts, Robin’s doctors began administration of high doses of chemotherapy almost immediately.
She has shown a remarkable tolerance to the chemotherapy and has so far gone 11 rounds! Her cancer cells are responding to the high doses of chemo & she is improving daily while still maintaining her positive attitude. As the high levels of chemo are taking a toll on her mind & body Robin had to make the difficult decision to take a leave of absence from her job, leaving her to pay out-of-pocket for her monthly insurance coverage & other medical expenses.
Robin has been a nurse for nearly 40 years and has dedicated her life to providing compassion, care and comfort for those in need. Her husband Doug, left work for several months to be her primary care giver when she was first undergoing chemotherapy as Robin needed both physical and emotional support during those difficult months. That is where you come in! Help Robin on her road to recovery, even the smallest amounts will add up to make a big difference. Please help give back to a wonderful woman who has devoted her life to giving health and happiness to others.
