Robin Stewart Funeral Expenses

Donation protected

Robin Stewart passed away on February 24 after nearly two years in the hospital. Due to her extended time away from work, she eventually lost both her health and life insurance. Her family has 30 days from the funeral to pay rest of the $15,000 for the funeral expenses. On top of that, the family has massive hospital bills from Robin's stay.

If Robin or her family has touched your life in any way, please be in prayer for them and consider giving to help them in their time of need.

Robin's obituary that was read at her service follows:

Robin Cynthia Stewart, 51, of Ocean Springs, MS passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 in Gulfport. Robin was a native of the coast and a member of Crossroads Church of the Nazarene. Robin was a loving mother, nanny, and grandmother. She was a devoted mother to her two children Justin and Patricia. She always made sure her children didn’t go without. When they were children she worked three jobs so they could go to the Catholic school she always dreamed of them attending. They shared many of laughs, precious moments, and their fair share of arguments. Although she only had two children of her own, she raised and cared for many other children in her life. For years she raised some of her nieces and nephews and later fostered two boys. Never once did she make anyone feel like that was a burden to her. They only felt loved and cherished. When her nephew Seth was born, she became “nanny” and would do anything for that boy. He was her world and she spoiled him rotten. He always loved going to nanny’s house and getting his favorite lemon pies. She always made him 2 pies each visit and no one else was allowed to touch them. February 16, 2016 was a day filled with so much love and happiness for her. It was the day she became “Gammy” to her precious grandbaby Weston Levi. As soon as she saw his first picture with tears of joy in her eyes she said, “I love him, he is beautiful.” She had never looked more joyful in her life.

Robin and her mother impacted many lives through their personal care home in the beginning of her adult life. Even after the closing of the personal care home, she would run into many of the families of those she cared for who still remembered how special she made them feel. Robins passion was for people and she made sure everyone knew that. Whether it was through her kind words, driving them places, running errands, or cooking them some of the best comfort food, they knew she truly loved and cared for them. Even if she didn’t know them. Her favorite way to meet people and enjoy their company was through her delicious cooking. All of Gautier knew that Robin’s Deli was the place to be. Not only because of it was the best food in the city, but because of the warm loving environment she had there. In 2005, she started working at Wal-Mart in Ocean Springs where she got away with pretty much everything because she knew exactly who to butter up. A sweet friend of hers, Becky, shared a story of how they used to cook themselves (and the managers of course) a big breakfast with all the fixings on Saturday mornings. Robin’s smile and food got her out of a lot of things. You can walk into Wal-Mart and ask any of the employees she worked with and I guarantee they will have a crazy story of the fun she had at work. If you ask Robin, Wal-Mart was not her workplace. It was her family. Well, unless she had a tough day at work. Then she might have had some more colorful words to say.

Many special words were said after her passing but these said by Rebecca Young a lady she knew from St Alphansus are ones her children will never forget, “Ocean Springs lost an angel and a beautiful soul on Wednesday when she gained her wings. Robin was one of the most giving, loving, and kind hearted woman I have ever met. Her smile, her laugh, her beautiful face, and her giving spirit will be missed by so many!”
