Robin's road to recovery

My mother, Robin Lopez,  was admitted to the Critical Care Unit of the hospital on January 9th, 2018  with type A Influenza and Congestive Heart Failure; a few days later she was intubated due to her inability to breath on her own.  She remained on the ventilator for almost two weeks  not having the slightest clue to what was transpiring as she was sedated. During her sedation we learned that she had also developed staph pneumonia in her right lung. After her stats looked better  the Dr. attempted  to remove the ventilator twice but both attempts were unsuccessful. She was then transferred by ambulance to the Critical Care Unit of a hospital that was nearly two hours away from her residence.  After several days of medication & sedation they were successful in removing the ventilator. Unfortunately her troubles were far from over. Once stable she was transferred out of the Critical Care Unit into  the next available room. She was monitored for two days with minimal Physical therapy and then discharged. At the time of discharge  my mother, still having trouble catching her breath, could not walk on her own let alone care for herself. More physical therapy was needed but without adequate funds we were left with a recommendation for a facility and wished the best of luck.  My mother was home for only two days when she went into respiratory arrest.  After being revived,  she was immediately put back onto a ventilator and transferred back to same hospital that discharged her. Several days passed and the ventilator was once again removed and again she was transferred to the next available room. We are in desperate  need of help as we are afraid she will soon be discharged again without the proper follow-on care due to lack of financial means. We are looking for any donation that can help  my mother afford the long term acute care that she desperately needs as well as reduce the mounting  medical expenses she has accrued . Thank you for taking the time to read this. My family and  I thank you for any donations.
