Help Robin pay for cancer treatment

Hi, I’m Shannon and I am fundraising for my sister Robin.

In October of 2023, my sister Robin made an appointment to visit to her doctor, as she had been feeling pain in her abdomen and noticed her skin and eyes had a yellow tint.

When she arrived to her appointment, the doctor took one look at her and told her to get to the emergency room as she was very jaundiced and needed to have her liver function tested.

After almost 24 hours of waiting in the emergency room lobby, they finally took her back for testing.

This is when our world came crashing to a halt. Her liver was failing, due to a malignant mass on the liver. But it didn’t stop there; with further testing they determined the mass had metastasized and had also moved into her lungs and brain. The diagnosis was cancer and with chemo and radiation treatment, they estimated we could have 1-3 years with her.

She was admitted and spent 2 weeks in the hospital to get her liver enzymes under control and once they did, she received her first chemo and immunotherapy treatment. She has a long road of chemo, immunotherapy, and radiation ahead of her - but you’d never know that if it were up to her, which is exactly why I’m starting this page on her behalf.

My sister has never asked anyone for anything, she has continually put everyone else ahead of herself, and now I’m hoping that this community can pay it forward to someone who literally has never met a stranger, and if she did, she’d sit them right down and befriend them.

Sure, I might be biased because I’m her sister, but I can say with absolute certainty that you’d be hard pressed to find anyone she’s ever met that wouldn’t speak her praises.

Because of this diagnosis and treatment schedule she is now unable to work, resulting in loss of income and insurance benefits. Her husband is also disabled so they were already on a very tight budget before any of this started. Any donation you can give will help to pay her medical bills, keep them from losing their home, and give them one less thing to stress over.

2023 and cancer has not been kind to my family as I was diagnosed at the start and now my sister is having to face this journey as well.
