It is with heavy hearts that we share the devastating loss of my brother David’s beautiful wife, Robin Lensegrav (nee’ Graves).  Robin sustained severe injuries from a tragic fall down the stairs, her arms full, carrying Christmas gifts to wrap for their grandchildren.  Despite heroic efforts of David reviving her with CPR, and the dedicated ICU staff working around the clock, Robin passed away on December 7th after days in a coma.  The brain trauma was too great with no hope to save her.  She was only 55.

 Robin was an amazing soul mate, and meant everything to my brother.  And, to the rest of the family.  Words cannot express the shock and disbelief for all of us who loved her, to have her taken away so suddenly.  She spread cheer and laughter wherever she went. Robin will be forever missed by all who had the honor to know her, including her regular customers that she appreciated so much: at Fridley’s Old Country Buffet and more recently Maplewood’s Golden Corral Buffet & Grill, where she worked prior to Covid.  And, like so many, she lost both her job and her health insurance. 

 This memorial is to honor Robin, and with a goal to help cover costs, including funeral and medical, which we can only guess at right now.  Donations big and small add up and will make all the difference to ensure David is prevented from losing their home and everything they’ve built together, in addition to having lost her.  If lucky enough to raise beyond whatever those costs may be, we plan to donate to a favorite cause of hers.  Please share your comments/stories, creating a community remembrance of Robin.

 We understand these are tough times of economic crisis and isolation in our pandemic.  Few have extra to share.  Robin loved her 3 sons: Joe, Terry, and Andrew Wishart deeply; and each of her grandchildren whom she adored.  She was also a Vikings fanatic. Her wedding and Christmas tree - Vikings themed! Robin was always ready to ride shotgun next to Dave on a road trip to anywhere: NASCAR in Daytona; Florida to visit family, fishing in Lake Mille Lacs, downtown to US Bank Stadium…  she loved an adventure.



 Robin’s beautiful self and soul, although petite in stature, was larger than life in personality with her heart of gold.  Robin’s bright eyes, impish smile, contagiously enthusiastic spirit and never-ending generosity were an inspiration to all who met her.  

 May the energy and sunshine she graced us with carry forward, living on in the three recipients of her organ donations, and in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Bless you, Robin. God must surely be in need of fearless go-getters like you right now as angels in heaven, or he'd have let us keep you a little longer and live out all the big dreams you and David had planned together with each other and the family.  Until we meet again, Sweetheart.
