Update: Her same cancer has returned as the last time, triple negative carcinoma but it's stage 3 this time and her treatment will be for an entire year which will also include a mastectomy.

She has a different insurance plan and she has already paid over $4500 in co-payments so far and counting.

Old-One of the hardest news is when one of your closest friends tells you that she has been diagnosed with;

Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, HER 2 negative, with triple-negative markers (very aggressive) breast cancer.

She told me her last mammogram was in 2019, and she didn't get one in 2020 because of covid restrictions and trying to be safe and stay home.

In late January 2021, Robin felt a lump on her breast, and was diagnosed after having a mammo, ultrasound and biopsy.

After talking to Robin and listening to her going to these appointments... I asked about her finances... I come to realize as a friend, somehow I need to help... After spending over $2500 on her beloved dog Xochitle who died of cancer just before Christamas 2020, she had no idea that cancer was growing in her own body.

I am here to ask for help as she has high deductible insurance which leaves her stuck paying big amounts, and I realize that Cancer is very expensive.

Although Robin is very outgoing, she is also a private person, but is willing to share her story because she wants to get the word that "All women" should self-exam and get annual mammograms.

Due to her missing one year without the exam, she ended up getting a high-risk diagnosis.

As one of her closest friends... just helping and caring for her and come to love, anything would be appreciated.
