My Story: I Am In Need Of After Heart Transplant Support.

My name is Robin E. Bennett; I am 54 years old. I received a Heart Transplant on Feb 10, 2024 @ Vanderbilt University Hospital, in Nashville, Tenn. My heart was functioning at a severely decreased level for 17 1/2 years and I was denied twice for listing. My diagnosis was Advanced Stage IV Systolic Congestive Heart Failure due to Dilated Cardiomyopathy with an LVAD Support System for 7 1/2 years.

I am asking that you consider donating, to help me to be listed for transplant. Once, I am transplanted, This fundraiser will support my anti-rejection medications for the first year after the transplant and travel from Alabama to Nashville, Tenn monthly. I only have Medicare insurance at this time. Helping me to meet my goal will also, allow me to be considered to be listed. In the event I don’t complete my journey all donations will be used to help others with medical needs. My family and I are making a plea on my behalf for any financial assistance and contributions to help me meet my goal since my heart transplant.
