Robin and Mina

Hi, my name is Aine, and I'm fundraising for my friend, Robin, and her daughter Mina, age 12. These past several years have been rife with challenges for these two dears. In 2015 Kavoos, Robin's husband and Mina's dad, passed away after suffering from a debilitating stroke caused by cancer.

The grief of this tragic loss has been a constant companion for them, exacerbated by the challenges of grieving while caregiving for Kavoos after his stroke, grieving in a single parent household, the pandemic!, and multiple health struggles. Mina has PANS (Pediatric Acute-onset Neuropsychiatric Syndrome) and Robin has had complications from Covid as well as severe sickness from mold.

This duo needs help to make ends meet - they are currently subsisting on a small monthly widow benefit and have had to use credit cards to make ends meet. They are also without a car - in Texas! - which makes everything so much more challenging for possible work and activities/community for Mina.

Currently, Robin is experiencing some health issues which require further testing/potential treatment. Life keeps life-ing no matter how hard we try to get ahead, to stay on top, and when you come in with these kinds of challenges, the uphill battle never smooths out.
