Jeff & Robin Orona
6 months ago Jeff suffered from a few mini-stokes.This caused him to not be able to work. Last Thursday, January 28th he suffered from a major stoke. Luckily my mom and my cousin Angie were there when it happened and called 911, this was a miracle in itself as any other Thursday no one would have been home and the outcome very different. Jeff was taken by ambulance to McCullough Hyde hospital where they air flighted him by helicopter to UC.
UC was able to do a clot buster procedure and clear the blockage but his brain has been severely effected. Jeff is paralyzed on his left side and the Drs have found clots in his lungs and his legs. He has a long road to recovery ahead for the months to come.
For the past 6 months my mom and Jeff have been down to just my mom’s income. Now with everything that has happened mom is not only having to worry about paying bills that are already months behind, but also worry about when she can fit in work between being at the hospital with Jeff. My mom normally works 60-80 a week, which isn’t something that she’ll be able to continue right now and stillbe available to be at the hospital with Jeff to advocate for him.
Many people have reached out and asked how they can help. Right now helping financially would be the biggest stress relief. Driving back and forth to the hospital (an hour each way), eating out, and piling bills add up fast.
On top of bills piling up already- Jeff’s insurance was canceled at the end of December. They currently have no insurance and are trying to figure out how he will get the rehab care he needs.
If you know my mom, she is the type of person who would give to someone even when she has nothing herself. I hope that together we can be a blessing to her and Jeff as they navigate this difficult and stressful time. Just to alleviate a small portion of the financial stress this brings would be huge!
Thank you all for the love, prayers, and support so far- my entire family feels it. Continued payers are welcomed and appreciated ❤️
We love you all
