My name is Jennings Johnson and I was born and raised in Lumberton, North Carolina. Southeast North Carolina has been impacted severely by large surges of water from Hurricane Matthew this weekend. No one expected this magnitude of devastation, especially in Robeson County. Some regions of flooding have reached depths of six feet or more and still rising. Hundreds are left without homes, and all are left without power for at least the duration of the week. The surrounding county may take longer. This GoFundMe was created to provide financial assistance to disaster relief teams involved directly with Robeson County. Any donation, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated. All donations will be transferred to the Robeson County Church and Community Center to be used locally in intitial relief efforts and continuous aid for food, clothing and personal hygeine.
