November 16th 2014, I was riding my motorcycle home from an 8 hour shift. Earlier that day I had got a call from my other job to cover someone's shift because if she didn't have someone to cover her they were going to fire her. I felt bad by she had been going through a lot and the last thing she needed was to lose her job also. As I was riding home I was two lights away from being home. I remember looking down at my speedometer and I was going 50mph in a 45. I looked up be I was coming into an intersection and I remember seeing headlights coming at me. I had not chance to slow down or avoid it. An 84 year old lady had decided to make a left turn from the oncoming traffic side causing me to Tbone her car. I woke up on the curb 184ft away from the crash(60yards). I remember hearing people ask if I was alive and I tried to move and I couldn't. I waved my hand to let them know I was alive. I remember waking up in a hospital. The out come of the crash was I broke my left forearm, shifted my left wrist, broke my left hand, broke my right hand, tore my right peck muscle, tore 3/4 ligaments in my left knee, have a 6inch scar down my leg and lost my right ankle at the scene. I had so much dead tissue in my right leg that I had to have 3 surgeries going up my leg to see how far up the dead tissue went. After the surgeries I ended up as a dis articulated Above knee amputee. The lady who hit me is worry free, her insurance paid $30k and she's free and about her business. Nothing happen to her and my family and I are stuck with the rest. If you can help, anything helps. I've been having fund raisers and have been selling my art which luckily I can still do. Thank you for your time and I appreciate the help. I'm also posting my progress on Instagram (@robert_g11) I have a temporary socket and leg to learn how to walk until I raise enough for my actual leg. The socket I have hurts so much. But every day I'm getting closer to my goals because friends and loved ones.
