Hi, my name is Robert and on February 1st 2026, I will be running a 50-mile ultramarathon to raise money for Kidney Research Uk.

I have chosen this charity because their work directly supports research into IgA nephropathy, a chronic kidney disease that I was diagnosed with at 15. IgA nephropathy is an unpredictable autoimmune disease, which affects each individual differently. There is currently no cure and limited treatments, which is why raising money to help fund vital research is so important for me and the millions of others affected by kidney disease.

I decided to run an ultramarathon to raise awareness, and show my support to others affected by kidney disease whilst also pushing my own personal limits as someone living with it.
