Hello family and friends. I'm sure we all know why we've come to this small part of the internet, but for those not in the know let me explain. My dad has been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. The doctors believe that he will pass before Christmas.

Cancer is something you hear about, someone you know has had it and beat it, or a friend of a friend sadly lost their battle with it. My immediate family is small and you could say that I was ignorant in thinking nothing like this could happen to us, but it has, and now we're facing it.

For those who know Robert well you'll know that he has a fierce spirit. He has no fear of voicing his thoughts and feelings, negative or positive. I won't lie, this often makes conversations with my dad frustrating, but I know underneath he has a good and caring heart, reserved for friends and family.

In a normal world I know everyone would be pulling together to provide company, food and services, but with Sydney in lockdown this is incredibly difficult and may continue to be so for a while.
