First, we want to thank everyone who has supported the family following the passing of our beloved Roberto. Your kindness, prayers, and generosity have meant more to us and his family than words can express during this incredibly difficult time.

As they continue to navigate life after Bob’s unexpected passing, we wanted to share an important update regarding the purpose of this fundraiser.

Bob’s mother, Maria Teresa, was his full‑time caregiver and was paid by the state to care for him. With his passing, she not only lost her son, but also her main source of income. During grief, this sudden financial loss has created significant hardship and uncertainty, especially for our dear friend Regina, who is having a difficult time helping her mom with this transition and the reality of having to leave her home.

For this reason, we are shifting the focus of this fundraiser. Our hope is to raise funds to help Regina pay off the remaining $45,000 on Maria Teresa’s home. This house holds a lifetime of memories, especially of Bob, and letting go of it has been incredibly difficult for her (she was 6 years shy of paying it off). We would love to help her stay in her home, to bring her comfort, stability, and peace during this painful chapter.

Thank you for continuing to support our family and for helping us honor Bob’s life by caring for the person who cared for him every single day. Every contribution, share, and kind word truly makes a difference.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Roberto Jose Emilio Lanzas Aragon– otherwise affectionately known as Bob or Robbie. He passed away on July 5, 2025.

He was truly an angel on earth, someone whose presence you could always feel. A lover of music, Bob brought rhythm and light into every space he entered. He always had a twinkle in his eye that made you wonder what secrets he was collecting as he listened in on conversations, quietly taking it all in with his signature knowing smile. Despite the health challenges he faced throughout his life, he met each one with courage, tenacity, and the heart of a fighter.

To his mother Maria Teresa and his sister Regina Jue, Bob was not only family, but more than that, he was their angel. They cared for him with unwavering devotion, but they would always say that he was the one who gave them purpose – a calling to love deeply, selflessly, and fully. Bob’s purpose in this world was to remind us all to enjoy life, to stay present, and to accept care and love in every form it comes.

His light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew him. May he now rest with the angels he always reminded us of here on earth.

Con gran dolor anunciamos el fallecimiento de Roberto José Emilio Lanzas Aragón, también conocido cariñosamente como Bob o Robbie. Falleció el 5 de julio de 2025.

Fue un verdadero ángel en la tierra, alguien cuya presencia siempre se sentía. Amante de la música, Bob llenaba de ritmo y luz cada espacio en el que entraba. Siempre tenía un brillo en la mirada que te hacía preguntarte qué secretos guardaba mientras escuchaba las conversaciones, absorbiéndolo todo en silencio con su característica sonrisa de complicidad. A pesar de los problemas de salud que enfrentó a lo largo de su vida, los afrontó con valentía, tenacidad y un corazón de luchador.

Para su madre, María Teresa, y su hermana, Regina Jue, Bob no solo era familia, sino más que eso, era su ángel. Lo cuidaron con una devoción inquebrantable, pero siempre decían que él fue quien les dio un propósito: un llamado a amar profunda, desinteresada y plenamente. El propósito de Bob en este mundo fue recordarnos a todos que disfrutemos de la vida, que estemos presentes y que aceptemos el cariño y el amor en todas sus formas.

Su luz seguirá brillando en los corazones de quienes lo conocieron. Que ahora descanse con los ángeles que siempre nos recordó aquí en la tierra.

Dada la atención médica recibida y su inesperado fallecimiento, les pedimos que contribuyan con los gastos médicos y funerarios para ayudar a la familia de Bob en este momento difícil. Gracias por su compasión y apoyo.
