Funeral and Memorial Fund for Roberto "Beto" Alonso Jr.

Hi Everyone,

It is with a heavy heart that I come to share the painful and tragic news that my brother, Roberto, whom family and friends knew as "Beto", passed away unexpectedly on July 1, 2025. My parents, sibling, and I are left feeling emotionally broken, in deep pain, and lost at the thought of how we will continue to live without him.

My brother, Beto, was the oldest of 3 siblings. Today, and always, I choose to remember him as the funny, charismatic, kind, and caring person that he was. My mom has always said, "Es como un niño" (He's like a child). He would often find ways of making others laugh because he enjoyed seeing others smile. He saw light in a world with darkness in it. He was an avid animal lover.

My family and I come to you as our family, friends, and community to ask for your support during these difficult and unforeseen times. Your donations will help cover funeral and memorial costs, and will alleviate some of the financial burden associated with our loss.

Con gran pesar, les comparto la dolorosa y trágica noticia del fallecimiento inesperado de mi hermano, Roberto, a quien mis familiares y amigos conocían como "Beto". Mi hermano fallecio el 1 de julio de 2025. Mis padres, mi hermano y yo nos sentimos profundamente destrozados, con un profundo dolor y perdidos al pensar en cómo seguiremos viviendo sin él.

Mi hermano, Beto, era el mayor de tres hermanos. Hoy, y siempre, lo recordaré como la persona divertida, carismática, amable y cariñosa que era. Mi madre siempre decía: "Es como un niño". A menudo encontraba maneras de hacer reír a los demás porque disfrutaba viéndolos sonreír. Veía la luz en un mundo oscuro. Era un gran amante de los animales.

Mi familia y yo nos dirigimos a ustedes, como familia, amigos y comunidad, para pedirles su apoyo en estos momentos difíciles e imprevistos. Sus donaciones ayudarán a cubrir los gastos del funeral y el servicio conmemorativo, y aliviarán parte de la carga financiera asociada con nuestra pérdida.
