On November 8, 2014 My sister and I lost the greatest man we ever met, our father D.A.D. He was not only the most kind-hearted, generous man I ever met, but he was my hero. He never met anyone he didn't like and would've given the shirt off of his back to someone he just met. As many of you knew Robert Edward Binion because he grew up in North Richland Hills, Texas and is still one of the greatest basketball players to ever attend Richland High School. He was a very hard-working man who touched the lives of so many people near and far. He had a passion for sports, live music and taking his only grand-daughter Vivian fishing almost every weekend. He loved his family and friends and taught us many things in life, most importantly to live by the "Golden Rule." His life was cut short to only 58 years as the Lord needed him to come to heaven after surviving a three year battle with Stage 3 colon cancer. I hope and pray that someday in the future cancer is nothing but a zodiac sign as it takes the lives of beautiful people everyday including our hero, D.A.D. He was such a positive influence not only in our lives, but everyone whom he came into contact with. Being the extraordinary gentleman he was, we couldn't settle for a small 16x24 granite marker at Bluebonnet Hills where he was laid to rest. Therefore on behalf of his family and friends we are raising money to put a Full-Size 36x72 granite stone with his name, photographs and memories engraved to represent the great man he was. Please share this with as many people as you can and look into the sky and say a prayer for our family and the one and only, Robert Edward Binion. Rest in peace D.A.D. You are loved and missed by so many.
