Hi, I am Rikki Himel (Ramsey) the daughter of Roberta Ramsey and the late Richard Ramsey of Fort Yates, ND. On New Years morning my mother lost her home to a fire which took everything from her that she and my dad has ever owned and worked for. My mother is not one to ask for help, nor was my late father as he worked hard for everything he had, so we ask in a humble way for donations. The donations will be used to help my mother and my sister restore clothing, hygiene items, nights for lodging , gas to travel, food/meals as they literally left with the clothes on their back. They will be without a home for an unknown amount of time and we greatly appreciate your help.

We are very thankful that everyone is safe and not physically hurt by the fire as we can replace items but not lives of our loved ones. My mom was not home at the time the fire happened and it is unknown as to what caused this fire. This home meant a lot to so many of us as we all spent our childhood years in this home. My late father always said “I built this home for all my children and grandchildren so that they will always have a home to come home to when needed” and now it’s gone and we are so devastated and heartbroken. So many sentimental items and memories taken. We are very thankful for the people who have stepped forward and helped and shared their concerns and prayers.
