Chris, who many of us know as the caring and dedicated face behind our dogs’ second home at The Cozy Canine, is going through an unimaginable loss. His beloved partner, Roberta Jane Castle, known warmly to friends as Bert, passed away suddenly and tragically.

Bert wasn’t just part of Chris’s life she was part of our extended dog park community. Anyone who brought their dog into their care knows how much love, patience, and joy she shared with every animal she met. The dogs adored her, and it was easy to see why. She had a natural warmth that made every wagging tail feel safe and every owner feel at ease.

In the wake of this heartbreaking loss, Chris is now facing not only profound grief but also the unexpected financial burdens that come with losing a loved one. We’re coming together to support him during this incredibly difficult time to help ease the stress of expenses so he can focus on healing and honoring Bert’s memory.
