I am starting this fundraising on behalf of my brother Robert Zollna. Back in October right after the loss of his Father, my brother after weeks and weeks of intense bed ridden pain had to take time off work to have a serious back surgery to repair a herniated disc, which left incredible nerve damage for his leg requiring physical therapy and a brace to be made so he could walk.
This past week, around Dec 13th, out of the blue, right after being fitted for a brace, my brother became sick and was taken to the emergency room and was found to be in a full gull bladder attack and scheduled for an emergency surgery. The surgery took a few hours longer than usual and what the doctors found they described as black gangrene full sepsis infection and had to disect the dead organ and scape the abdominal cavity and place a drain line in to drain bile from his body cavity. He was placed on very high powered antibiotics. This is normally an in and out day procedure. He was so sick they kept him 3/4 days and on the day he thought he could go home his drain line became completely infected again and he had to return to the operating room for another long surgery.
Yesterday, Dec. 18th he finally got to go home. He is in alot of pain and will be weeks in recovery and in the meantime unable to do his reabilitation and physical therapy for his nerve damage from his herniated disk. He had take a leave from his full time management job back in October and has been unable to work since. His copays, medical bills and home bills are piling up.
My brother's a full diabetic too and lives with those complications as well.
If anyone knows my brother they know him as someone that has spent years helping those around him in need and ALWAYS extending a helpful hand to neighbors, friends, family and his community. He has been a leader in local bird clubs and exotic bird rescue and bird education. He was a "hero" to many during major storms and emergencies in his home town of Port Orchard and Bremerton, Washington. He has served his country and is a Veteran and has helped his "brothers" in the Navy time and again.
This week ahead marks his birthday, Dec. 23rd, he will be 53 young this year, and Christmas Dec. 25th. My brother NEVER asks for help, and he is not even aware yet that I am setting this up for him. Please if your able to help, please consider my brother Robert on your list of gifting. I know he would be intensely grateful and I guarantee your gift would be used wisely and appropriately to directly help the financial suffering at hand.
Thank you from me and my whole family,
Spring Roberts
