As some of you know, sadly and suddenly at the weekend, we lost our lovely Robert Watters.

The world became a little bit darker,and Rob lost his fight,after a brave and hard fought struggle with addiction.

If you knew Robert, you'd know that he had a heart of gold, and despite his ups and downs and own struggles, would do anything for anyone. Even though he didn't have much, he was always there to help you out and lend a hand, even though he needed help himself. He was intelligent, funny and witty, and brought light to every room he was in. He had something about his personality that instantly made you feel warm and at ease, and had the time of day for anyone, no matter who they were. He was just a lovely lad inside and out and despite his struggles, no one had anything but good things to say about him.

Anyone who knew Rob, would tell you that he lived for his family, especially his young nieces and nephews who lovingly knew him as 'Uncle Boba'.

He was the heart and soul of his family, and was loved so very much by family, and his friends.

When Robert suddenly passed, he was a long way from home in Newcastle, trying his best to make a fresh start and beat his addictions to better himself. He had been fighting bravely, attending a rehab programme for the last 7 months, and he was so tragically close to beating his demons, when he passed. He was fighting so so hard, and what is heartbreaking is, that he was so very nearly there. But fate had other ideas, and he was taken tragically at the last hurdle.

Like many people in recovery, Robert did not have a funeral plan in place. Dying was the last thing on his mind because it was a new life and a future he was struggling so hard to achieve, from rock bottom. The shock has come so suddenly to his family also, that they are not financially prepared for the funeral costs and especially the added cost of bringing him home to his friends and family in Wakefield for a funeral.

This go fund me is a chance for people if they can find it in their hearts, and are able , to donate to help support his family in this dark time. To hopefully be able to get Robert home, and give him the send off that a lovely person like him deserves,and should have.
