Robert W. Meyne II Memorial Fund

Donation protected
Robert W. Meyne II, 25 years young, passed away on April 3, 2019 after a long struggle with Muscular Dystrophy.  He was an extraordinary person. Kind, funny, smart, and always willing to share his opinion. He was a great singer, a man of deep faith, and an inspiration to all who knew him.

He leaves behind his loving parents, Rob & Sue, and his sister Laura, who say it was the honor of a lifetime to be able to care for him and help him grow into a wonderful young man. This campaign is one way to help Robert’s family and to pay tribute to Robert.  Our initial goal is $5000 but whatever we can raise will be appreciated by Robert’s family and really help them at this most difficult time.  Any amount will help.

Robert was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy at his check-up for his third birthday. A few months ago he commented that if he had the chance to not have muscular dystrophy, to be healthy, he wouldn't do it. "Why?" "Because then I wouldn't be me."

He believed that one of his roles in life - one of his purposes - was to encourage other people. "Maybe if they see I can deal with my challenges they will understand they can deal with theirs."

There is no doubt he inspired hundreds of people and made the lives of many he touched dramatically better. As his dad says, “He has shown us the way. He always strengthened us, made us proud, gave us optimism.“

So to Robert W. Meyne II, you were very loved, you made a difference, and you and the example you set will forever be in our memories.
