Robert Steinmetz Lung Transplant Journey

My father has been diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis and Emphysema and is 100% reliant on his portable oxygen tank at all times. Each day is a struggle for him and his health is severely declining. He has been placed on the lung transplant list and will be having a double lung transplant within the next 8 weeks. Unfortunately, insurance does not cover all medical expenses or the lodging post surgery being that he has to stay within 30 miles of the Vanderbilt hospital. This is a major procedure and we are putting our faith in God that he will provide. We are thankful that he was approved for this procedure because without, the doctors predicted that he would have 2 years left with us. My father is a proud soldier who served his country in the Air Force as well as his hometown Titusville Fl for 32 years as the Lieutenant on the fire department. He has helped so many and we just ask for our friends and family to come together for him now. Anything helps even if it’s just a prayer. Thank you guys so much, from the bottom of our hearts.
