Hello, thank you everyone for taking time to read this.

It is with a heavy heart that we mourn the sudden loss of  Robert Smith a loving father, son, brother and friend. Robert worked as a welder in Lafayette and was in town visiting relatives for the hoildays. On December 26, 2016 the day after Christmas  he was tragically gun down in killed exactly across the street from his mother home  at the age of only 38.

Robert Smith grew up in New Orleans 9th ward . He studied at George Washington Carver High School ,were he played football and was also a member in the band.

Robert was the light of any room he walked into. His infectious, beautiful, bright smile is one you will never forget.  Robert was very  goofy and fun-loving person, and everybody love to be around him.  Robert love for his family and friends is something you do not see everyday.  Robert spent years of his life battling sickle cell disease but always kept a smile on his face. His impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing him or seeing him in passing will remain forever.

Unfortunately Robert had no insurance. We are asking for donations to assist in covering these unexpected expenses.  Any amount is greatly appreciated.

Life will never be the same without Robert but he would want us all to remember the good times we shared and know that he is looking down on all of us with that unfortgettable smile. We ask everyone to keep our family in your prayers doing this tragic time.

Thank you in advance for your donation as they are greatly appreciated.
