Robert Allen Scharton was born July 29, 1959 in Fowler California. He grew up a very active kid and like most active boys he was part of the track and football teams.
On January 7, 1984 he married the love of his life. He knew just after a short few months that she was the one. Robert and Donna created many memories together and his favorite line in regards to their love story was “It all started with a Pee Wee football game” but at the top of their list of their best accomplishments together was they had two daughters and their family of 4 was complete. Brandis and Myrrissa had the best girl dad and they spent many family adventures together from on the softball field or impromptu trips to Disneyland. Little did they know that their family was going to grow by two son in laws and soon to be 4 grandchildren.
When Robert wasn’t with his immediate family he was with his work family. He was hired as a manager at Herb Baur and made many friends. He would come home talking about his crazy days with interesting customers.
In August, Robert showed signs of illness and it resulted in an ambulance trip to the hospital. Robert spent the next months in the hospital fighting the biggest fight of his life. While in the hospital his wife and daughters never left his side. They spent birthdays and holidays in the hospital with the family monarch.
On November 4, 2023 Robert Allen Sharton took his last breath. In his final hours he was surrounded by love from the people who loved him the most. He is survived by his wife Donna Scharton of 39 years. Two daughters Brandis and Myrrissa. Two son in laws Marco and Chase. 5 grandchildren, Marco, Hunter, Morgan, Blakelynn, and new baby Miles. A sister Carol and brother in law Allen and many nieces and nephews that he frequently talked to.
On behalf of the Scharton family, this fundraiser is to help with the bills that have accumulated during the time Robert has been in the hospital and will go to the funeral expenses. Whatever is left will help Donna get back on her feet as she attempts to navigate this next chapter in her life. As most of you know Robert was the sole provider of the family. The details of the service and more information will be sent out once everything is finalized. The family appreciates every person who has reached out. Thank you for your time and prayers. We love you and like Papa always said “ I GOT YOU”
