Robert Saunders’ Celebration of Life
Donation protected
Tuesday March 26, 2024 at 12:23am we all lost an angel on earth, but Robert Saunders got his wings. We are sadly looking for donations to help during these difficult times and to honor his memory.
Bob Marley once said, "The good times of today are the sad thoughts of tomorrow." This quote rings true and lives heavily in the hearts of all who loved Rob. Not only did Rob appreciate and find meaning in music from the greats such as Bob Marley, but he always worked to appreciate the good times of today. From surfing the waves throughout San Diego, attending Charger and Padres games, spreading the love of reggae music, showing up whenever a friend called, hundreds of hours of laughter and love with his friends, family, and wife, to making sure to enjoy the simple moments in life with his wife, Launa, and beloved dogs. But now, for all those who loved Rob, the saying has changed to “the good thoughts of yesterday are the sad times of today.”
While his family is profoundly saddened by his passing, we are also grateful that the day has come when he is no longer in pain. Over the past four years Rob has been working through a host of medical issues and as a result, he has been unable to work. His wife, Launa, was also laid off recently, which also resulted in the loss of life insurance for Rob. Due to this, and the mounting medical bills that are expected after a week on life support, and years of doctors visits, please consider making a donation to and sharing this memorial GoFundMe on your social media to commemorate his kind and giving spirit and support his family during these difficult times.
All of the money raised here will go directly to Rob’s family to aid with burial and medical expenses that have accrued over the past several years, and any other unplanned costs.
Celebration of life details to come separately, but the family is aiming for 4/27/2024 if timing permits.
