Hello friends and family
On June 29th, my father had an emergency health issue and went into Urgent Care to seek help. Once there they determined that his blood pressure was 70/40 and that he had pneumonia in his right lung. He was then rushed to the ER at Huntington Hospital for further care because of his Congestive Heart Failure and ended up having to stay for 9 days.
My father is a self employed electrician and his work tools are very important to maintain his livelihood. So because of their importance, even while feeling very ill, he was adamant about making sure his work truck and work tools were put somewhere he felt was safe. He parked it in a gated and supposedly secure facility, praying they would be safe as they are his bread and butter. However, three days in a row, his truck was broken into. They broke into his locked boxes, stole his work tools, and even syphoned his gas. It was extremely sad to hear my father on the phone when he told me that despite his best efforts to keep his truck safe, it had not been enough and even worse that it happened multiple times.
My father has seen tough times before, but he’s always had his trade, his tools and his health to fall back on. My father has tried hard to not make too big a deal of his struggles and would rather help others in need, but with his medical costs and cost of living, I know that he is truly feeling overwhelmed. So we are asking the community for help. I know that times are rough for everyone right now, but if there is any way that you can help, I know that he would be extremely grateful. Every dollar would help and any money that goes beyond his goal will go to help with his medical expenses.
Thank you so much for taking the time to help! I know the goodness in people will always outweigh the evil in the world.
