My name is Maria Elva Martinez, and I want to thank you today for taking the time to read the story of Robert Romero Jr, my son. Robert was full of excitement, and adventure. he loved exploring new places. after he graduated, he left Sunnyside, Washington, and moved to Sacramento. he made many friends there, and he worked at Waterboy, for 10 years, and called them his family.

In 2013 he moved back to Washington State, the Tri-Cities, with me, his mom, as he had just been diagnosed with 2 types of cancer, and stood in Seattle for treatment for 3 months, and beat it, as it went into remission. he made many friends there, and was loved by the staff, doctors, and patients.

Then at the closing end of his life, he decided to move back to California, he traveled to Stockton, San Francisco, and in the end to West Hollywood. he worked as a server for 2 Agency's, and worked as sever for events at Universal Studios, The Golden Globe Awards. he said that one day at a stars house, he almost bumped into Robert Downey Jr, and was excited about that. He went to the Walk of Stars, and visited, 'Tyrone Powers resting place, as I had always told him that he looked like the star.

Then on Feb. 27th, he told me that he was ready to leave Hollywood, and so he went to his Aunt Becky's in Stockton and called me and said he was ready to come home. I always talked to God on his behalf, and I would call him every other day, and pray for him, in the end, he asked me lots of questions about God, watched Charles Stanley, and took notes.

Two days later, after he arrived at his Aunt Becky's house, he became ill, and began to bleed from his intestines, he was admitted at Dameron.

The doctors performed surgery on my son Robert to find the bleeding but without success. they could not stop the bleeding, and after 10 days of Robert, fighting to stay alive, and the doctors, telling me that they are waiting for a miracle, instead God took Robert home. The doctors, and staff, also became close to Robert till his last breath. he was special to everyone that knew him and will be missed by many. I thank God for the time that I had him as a son and know one day I'll see him soon. God is great.

The reason that we are doing the GoFundMe me, is because although Robert had insurance, he was out of state when he passed, the charge of the flight, and being transported by a vehicle, and other things that involved a state-to-state transfer was used from his insurance, and so, our family is asking for donations for the opening, and closing of the plot. this will need to be done before Mar. 27th. We appreciate any small donation from family, or friends, and so I want to thank all of you, and say that I appreciate all the friendship and love that you had for my son.
